The Star Is You Academy is an international acting academy that helps you become an actor/actress and participate in the production of a film distributed on platforms worldwide.
Founder and Artistic Director Created and promoted by the actor, writer and director Michele Lastella, the acting Academy is for all those aged from 13 and up to 99 who want to learn to be on the “stage” and in front of a camera with a professional approach, as well as all those who want to work on themselves to overcome their limits and achieve personal and communicative goals that were unthinkable before.
International Promotion on IMDb and Google Front Page Not only that, there will be a Premiere at the headquarters of each Acting Workshop for the in-person workshops, with a kind of a Red Carpet where the participating actors and actresses of the Academy will be the protagonists and will live this unique experience that will remain forever in the memories of those who lived it. The actors and actresses who participated in the workshop and the final film will be promoted on IMDb, International Movies Database, the official World Cinema database owned by Amazon, the most important cinema portal in the world with which we have direct relationships. The films will be shot with International actors from all around the world using the English language and obtain worldwide distribution. Mission Acting on camera and stage are activities of fundamental importance recognized as a valid form of integrative teaching, useful to enhance the personal aspects of each individual, the relationship with our own body and self, creativity, and the relationship with others. Through the creative experience of acting, one’s skills are increased by actively working on self-esteem, communication, and sharing emotions. The role played by the emotional sphere is fundamental, which will be “trained” to create relationships based on mutual trust between participants and, above all, to acquire self-confidence.
Overall info about Michele Lastella The project is founded and directed by Michele Lastella, director of the department for the creation of the Acting and Film method at the New York Film Academy, author, director, producer, distributor and founder of Sustainable Media Corp., with which he produces and distributes films on more than 20 streaming platforms, present in more than 150 territories around the world. The Academy was built to be accessible to all at an average monthly cost like that of any gym, but given the uniqueness of the project, it has a limited number of spots available per workshop. Guaranteed Casting and Production The final objective of the course is to create a screenplay and make a film with guaranteed international distribution on platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, YouTube Official Movies Channel, Tubi, The Roku Channel, Plex, Xumo, and many others present on all continents. This is the first Academy in the world to guarantee actors and actresses participation in a film that has worldwide distribution certainty. Not only does this international reality already exist abroad in countries such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.
Worldwide, Online and In-presence The Star Is You Academy has been present throughout the world since 2018, when it was founded in the United States under the name of Lastella Acting Studio in Miami. Our Academy is the first to be both online and in person, and based on the number of actors and actresses participating in the workshop, which can be from 4 to 6 months on average, the final part will be filmed live or with an Exclusive Online process, if at least 20 actors are attending per Workshop. Each participant will be directly involved in the making of a film that will be distributed on international platforms, thus becoming the protagonist of the screenplay produced together with all the other actors and actresses.
